Welcome to my studio!
My name is David Silva and I’m a freelance designer and student living in Los Angeles, CA. I love Mac’s, working out, sushi, spending time with my fiance and I’m a Beatles and Foo Fighters fan. I enjoy working with graphic and web design, all things social media and film.
How it all started
As a kid I spent a lot of time drawing and I continued to exercise that skill as I grew up. My passion for art quickly evolved from simple cartoon sketches to mixed media pieces which would one day earn student art recognition and various other awards. As I began to work on computers I immediately began to explore the web and developed a strong appreciation for design, color theory and typography.
Past experience
I worked for three years as a graphic artist with a packaging company. The experience and pressure of working with the likes of WalMart, Walgreens and Target was amazing. Later, I moved on to help manage a major online shoe retailer for two years where my previous experience with design and minimal self-taught HTML was put to good use. The experience gained here from managing a small staff, exposure into online marketing, branding and ecommerce has since proved to be very valuable. Today I use a combination of skills gained at these jobs as well as others developed through other corporate positions to run my own design studio.

flickthis is a movie trailer gallery. I am a big movie fan and enjoy running this site promoting trailers for soon to be released movies. This site aims to give new perspective to movie blogs and make movies online social.
